Photographer’s Note
Smjörfjöll (butter mountains) are mountains between Vopnafjördur and Jökulsárhlíd, about 1200 m. Barren and rocky. Snow in some places all summer long.

Hallo Johann!
This is real GREAT photo! those black ridges give a interesting contrast to the snowy landscape and the clouds give a little bit mystic touch. The light and with it the atmosphere is breathtaking! Very very impressing!
Greetings!

It looks pretty good, but possibly a little bit soft, and it feels like there is a bit too much sky. I'll propose a workshop with some slight adjustments.
Thanks!

The alpenglow provides a lovely color for this photograh. The mountain ridges with their intersecting vertical lines beneath the gauzy flow of clouds across the top make this a composition that I like very much.
I actually like both the original and the workshop equally well. The original is a dreamy composition of clouds, light and mountains. The workshop is a tight compositon of mountains in alpenglow.
