Photographer’s Note
These two coconut trees are called "Romeo and Juliet". They are all alone in this desert place called Mangue Seco. Mangue Seco is a beautiful district of Jandaíra, a little city in Bahia. This place is amazing, more than 30 kilometers of desert beaches, green sea, coconut trees and many white sand dunes, that moves around because of the wind.
Mangue Seco arose as a little fishermen village more than 200 years ago. People say that in this place there was a tribe of natives that was extinguished by quest of the emperor D. Pedro, which forced the native population to run away. Around the 30's about 35 houses were swallowed by the sea and the dunes. The sand hills are always shifting there, which makes the place kind of inhospitable. I suppose that this is the reason for the place being so desert.
The access to Mangue Seco can only be done by Sergipe, a state close to Bahia. I remember when we went there we had this funny situation.. we asked directions to get there. We found a taxi cab driver who took us there by a special price. After a long time going by a sandy desert road surrounded only by vegetation, we had to cross the river that divides the states Sergipe and Bahia. We spent the day there, strolling on the dunes, riding a buggy (it was very cool!) enjoying the landscape. The problem was when we had to come back: we crossed the river, but there wasn't any cab or anything else for us to come back to Aracaju (Sergipe's capital).. we wanted to sit down and cry because we couldn't stay there, as we had a little money, and there isn't any place for people to sleep! To solve this problem we started going to every house we found, asking if anyone had a car to take us back to Aracaju. Thank God we found someone who accepted take us back for the last remain of money we had! hehe

Ola Caliane!!
Really good composition in this one. I like the idea very much, and the note you wrote is very interesting.
The only point maybe is the lack of sharpness in the photo, maybe with Neatimage or any PP it would get better ;-)
Anyway, well done!!
Regards
Sergi

Caliane,
This is a good shot, very good composition, with the trees to one side, which highlights the empty beach. However, image quality is somewhat "fuzzy". I noticed thet the size of the picture is only 32,627 bytes. TE allows up to 200,000 bytes (200kB), so I think you have lost quality because of this. Did you resize the shot on your PC before posting to TE?
Still, a lovely shot, well composed, and a great note also. Thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Tim.

Felicitaciones Caliane, TFS.

Hey, I have an idea for this picture :
you should have seat together with your sister under the trees (one girl under each tree). I am sure that people would have said : "Hey, don't use clone tools on TE, go to TL for that !"
About the picture itself, I would have let less sand in front. But the overall subject / surroundings are good. And also I liked the story in the note.

Hi Caliane, Nice windy picture. It conveys nicely the feeling of lonelyness.

Adorei a foto.
