Photographer’s Note
This is the bow of chemical tanker "Marcela Lady", immediately before leaving the floating dock of "Viktor Lenac" repair shipyard, where it received such flaming final coats of paint...
The picture is of original size (no cropping), but the background on the right side was blurred in order not to "jump out" too much. The colors were marginally additionally saturated.

Very well captured - at first I did not know what I was looking at.
I think cropping the background away would have a bigger abstract impact - then it would be more difficult to guess what is seen.

great photo! wonderful use of reds as such a dominant colour. i admit that i had to look at the shot for a moment before i worked out what i was looking at. so it has an almost abstract quality. good to see you put your shadow in the shot. great inclusion of the white numbers which contrast the red so well.

A great picture. The inclusion of the silhoutte of yourself taking the photo, and the small area of background to the right really enforce the size of the ship. Wonderful vivid colours.

aahh...ovo je jako lijepo. boje si dobro pogodio, a ova tvoja sjenka (pretpostavljam da je tvoja) odlicno daje dinamici slike. naravno mene osobno kao brodara ova slika jako veseli, jer nema nista ljepse nego kad vidis jedan detalj broda u ovako lijepom uratku.
Dobra ideja sa bluranjem pozadine. Moram i ja to probati na nekim od svojih uradaka. Lijepi pozdravi iz hladne (-16) Finske, Alan

Interesting shot, very creative in the wya you included yourself in the shot. Usually we try to exclude our shadows, but this one adds interest to the image.

I have been meaning to comment on the photo all day. Very original, the colour/ saturation is very nice. The specular highlights are also nicely controlled in this shot, very much deserves the praise it has been receiving.
BTW, keep your camera bag a bit closer won't you.
