Photographer’s Note
In winter 1942 there in peninsula „Kamennij” of lake Lama near Norilsk, Taimyr Peninsula, died in custody they of Baltic senior artillery officers, who was naive believed in so-called „National armies” in Baltic states after sowjet occupation.
In my opinion, they died both of hunger and of disgrace.
Curiously, one of their jailers was a soldier of disbanded Russian army troops, that losed the Russian – Finland war and was scattered for „that war not happened at all”.
The Estonian, Lithuanian and Latvian people are going there in procession in summer 1988 to unveil a self-made stone wall monument in a cemetery ashore Lama.
This my photo is accessed in collection of Latvian Museum of occupation.
Captured by my self-made panoramic camera
