Photographer’s Note
Sun is in very short supply in Denmark at present, so there aren't many photo opportunities around. And the last time the weather was decent for a few hours - 6 days ago - my dog jumped onto a piece of ice spanning over the brook but not strong enough to carry him, so he fell into the brook and got wet all over, and I had to cut the photo excursion short in order to prevent him from freezing to death. It's a pity I'm not allowed to show any photos of that.. ;-)). Anyway, here's "one I made earlier", as they say in the cooking programmes. Hungry seagulls seem to be very cooperative, if you offer them a little bread for their efforts. These three were all trying to get to the pieces of bread I'd thrown into the water for them, and the one on the left has a piece in the water just below its bill, only the bread was wet and couldn't be picked up in one piece, so it had to make 2 or 3 dives to get the food. The white dots are water spray, not noise in the picture.
Treatment: Crop, Contrast +10, Brightness +5, Saturation +10, USM and resize.

Beautifull shot, i like the dark colors of water in the background & the subjet are light which make good attraction. Welldone Bente.

A very nice shot Bente - I like the colours and the composition of the three "gulls". I just checked FAQ, there’s a note about sharpening - too bad you don’t allow this on your photos.
I also noticed (as you mention indirectly) that pets not allowed on TE. The same said about nudity - unless it’s a natural element for the event shown on the photo.
Perhaps your dog allowed if his wet enough and the picture looks funny ;-))

Très jolie composition. Les sujets sont peut-être un peu banal mais L'action est bien représentée et les couleurs sont superbes.

Ah, a new one - well done, especially the top one - try and crop the left one out with the Stamp tool - I know it is only two birds then, but the right one has an intersting pose. I am whetting my teeth, as we say in Afrikaans, for the new D70 - I see tremendous improvement since you got the D300 - these digital babies are magic - now I must just learn how to use PS properly...

Wonderful capture Bente. I know how difficult it is to get just one of these in the right position and you got three of them – excellent.
The colours are great as well as dof. Only thing I can say is the slight burn out on the breast of the right bird but it is almost impossible to avoid especially with the low sun we have this time of year. Well done.
