Sitting in a restaurant in St Cezaire sur Siagne when we spotted this bizarre sight. I'd never seen anything like it, and it was hard to keep the camera steady whilst laughing so much...:-))

Very amusing!

The thing is, beyond being funny, it does have a more meaningful side as well. That pose is so instantly and instinctively familiar -- and I mean familiar on a gut level, where you don't just remember having seen it before, but can almost feel it -- that this image really does serve to remind us of the commonalities amongst all living things, that despite how cheaply we count their lives, we share something very basic and elemental with even these flies.

Technically, you got pretty good detail on the flies, I must say, and I quite like the rather abstract, graphic background.
