Photographer’s Note
Chamonix, France.
This city is stuck between the highest mountains in Europe (including the Mont Blanc 4807m). Glaciers are running down the slopes all around the city, and I caught this ray of light during a late afternoon (while shopping !)

Hi Olivier,
Great shot, the sun-lit part of the glacier looks so warm and pleasant in contrast to the rest of the comosition that is dark and gloomy due to the clouds... I like your composition with the lit part in the central place surrounded by the darkness, the framing is nice too:)

Hi Olivier,
Absolute beauty shown by the only pack of sunbeams that found its way through. Great colors and shades and awesome contrast. Great combination and composition. Well Done.

Thet lit spot is right on!
It's a long time since I visited Chamonix. Didn't remember that the glacier is so steep.
Great scene. And tells a lot about Alpine climate.

Hi Olivier,
What a great, dramatic shot of this glacier! Excellent composition and contrast. I love the different, parallel lines.
Shopping must be fun if you can take pictures like this!
Cheers, Sander

Hi Olivier,
What's the great contrast! Lucky choose of the light spot on the picture space. Nicest sharpen. Good job!

Hi Olivier,
An impressive shot indeed. I like its graphical composition based on strong diagonal from top left to the bottom right. Also the light is excellent. Very well done!
Thanks,
Marek

Salut Olivier
While shopping? Must have been a long zoom lens! The shot is fabulous - the sunlit glacier against the mist and darker areas is fantastic, really atmospheric. Great capture!

Hello Olivier, well done for capturing this moment of perfect natural lighting. It's like a spotlight on your subject. Nice composition too with the glacier running down the diagonal and the ridge of the mountain echoing it behind.
