Rock, Kaena Point State Park Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another sunset shot from Kaena Point State Park, on the island of Oahu. I was taken by the way the surf was hitting this rock.

Unfortunately, I've lost a bit of detail in the scan. In the original transparency, you can see the sun shining through the wave crest. This image was scanned on an Epson 4990 flat-bed scanner, with the 4x5 adapter. I only use this scanner for creating web images; for printing I have the transparency scanned on a Heidelberg Tango drum scanner.
