Photographer’s Note

This shot of the chaffinch was taken on a visit to Pistyll Rhaeadr ( waterfall) nr Llanrhaedr ym Mochnant in Denbighshire North Wales. We were in the outdoor cafe and the wild birds were very tame and were been fed all the time.
This shot has been cropped resized and colours saturated a little.

Beautifully crisp image allowing us to see the inticate detail of this female chaffinch. The blurred background allows us to appreciate the subject more.

A super Chaffinch shot Malcolm very natural and well composed and exposed.It never ceases to amaze me the number of Chaffinches you see in North wales and my favourite spot is in the car park at the top of the road to Llyn Gwynant just as you start to drop down the steepo and twisty road.It also has a fabulous view of llyn Gwynant

This is an excellent photograph. I can't fault it in anyway. The exposure, focus, composition and framing are all there. Excellent stuff.

Excellent and crisp shot of the chaffinch, showing her plumage really sharply. nice composition and good blurred background to concentrate the eye on the main subject.

OK it's a common bird but your frame is excellent with interesting lights with a dark foreground.
