Photographer’s Note
Nothing very outstanding here... just kids giving me the biggest smile they have... Christmas just finished and I felt so bad to see the amount of gifts the children get, almost getting spoiled...
Then I look back at this roadside kids... they did not need those gifts to enjoy their daily life and above all to smile despite the life they were living...

You have a great geometric composition here. I like the way it makes a bold diagonal from bottom right to top left and three lovely portraits as well.

Tilting the photo has really made this image more appealing. The childrens expressions are terrific too.

Hello Bala,
No objections with focus here, the eyes are Sharp Sharp Sharp. Their happy expression is excellent here. So the new tool is working exactly the way you want here. And I like the tilt which fits the faces nicely in the frame

Hi Bala,
I do like their smiles! True, I do think that kids don't necessary need all the gifts to enjoy life. But in our consumer societies, it is very hard to go against that. When I was young, we were poor. I did received just one gift at Christmas. I felt so bad when I was asked by other kids what "giftssss" I had received, after they had made a long list of their own gifts. I think it is hard for parents to go against that trend, knowing their kids will "suffer" from that. Very difficult decision to make.
About you picture, I think it's a great one, with those charming and very natural smiles. I like the way the kid on the right side move the head to be sure to be in the picture! The tilt is good. I prefer the color version.
Thank you and have a nice year 2006!
Claire
