Photographer’s Note
I've always been a sucker for fortune tellers, especially when I'm in foriegn countries. So, of course, when I heard about the famous woman who tells fortune by the old Japanese covered bridge in the countryside near Hue, Vietnam, I knew I had to go see her.
She turned out to be a lovely old woman. I gathered bits and pieces of her history. Something about being a nurse during the Vietnamese war and having her fortune telling skills be so reknowned that people from far and wide come and visit her, just for her to reveal what's in the future.
I'm still waiting to see if what she told me will come true or not (unfortunately, I hate to admit that luck is not on her side), but I'm still curious to see...
But nonetheless, a lovely woman... :)

Beats me why this pic has no points so far, I quite like it. Nice B&W photo with great facial detail.

Hello Sheila, love your shot of this beautiful lady, she surely is mischiveous-looking to me ;-) .... hope all the good things she professed will come true for you! ;-)
I love this shot a lot, with wonderful humanity as well as technical power, very well done, with beautiful attention to all the details, her patterned shirt etc, bravo!
