Bruges has many tourits, so it's very difficult to take photos without people. They mean to show you the painter andhis tripod

Good shot John.
Het geeft een mooi indruk van de sfeer van Brugge. Ik vind dat je hier een prachtige compositie hebt en de scherpte van het schilderij vind ik grandioos. Ja dit is een mooi voorbeeld voor trek earth. Good work John

Nice "caught in the act" shot, John. Plus a very clever way of showing more than we can see in your frame - we just have to look at the painting!
Well done, and this is a nice addition into my "artists at work" theme.

Bel instant de la vie quotidienne. Le peintre ne manque pas de talent ni le photographe !
Très bien, John.
Beautiful moment of the daily life. The painter does not miss a talent nor the photographer!
Very well, John.

I agree with all the above. Nice different shot from Bruges. Via the paintwork you can see where the photo has been taken.
Ik ga akkoord met al het bovenstaande. Eens een ander beeld van Brugge. Als je op het schilderij kijkt, dan zie je waar we ons bevinden.

very busy scene here. good color and detail in this shot. the artist is taking a break but by the look on the bystander's face not his art.

A nice portrait of the painter working on his painting. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view is showoing the details and colors of the scenery. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi John !!!
one of your early photos.....it is typical of Europe.....you do not see this type of scene in Australia.....here people are interested in buying a new TV !!!!!
You chose a perfect POV so not only we see the artist but also the theme that he is painting.
Happy X`mas for you and your good wife.

This is a very nice artwork/daily life photo from 2003 (11 years ago, already!). Very nicely done, most of the painting is clearly visible.
