Local tourists

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This shot was taken on "Broadway" in Tashkent the capital of Uzbekistan. It is a long pedestrian walkway with masses of original paintings and others souvenirs for sale. Behind these stalls are many different tented local restaurants offering "interesting", and popular, food including lots of shashlik. Most of the tourists are from Uzbekistan or the CIS. At the far end (X8 optical zoom), across the cross road, is a central park with the statue of Timur riding on a horse.
======================
I straightened the picture and cropped out a pole in the right foreground. |

It looks like a bit misty. Smoke? Too soft contrast?
But I rather like that view on this avenue. Thank you for sharing.
i like the perspective in this shot that takes down there to the fond. a good dialy image reavelaing the daily life of people. and i know about this smoke, a usual companion of the mass outing

It is very exciting, this shot. I can not even give myself an account why. Perhaps because of the effect of perspective reduction that makes the space here so dense and intense.

I like this idea of seing tourists in their own city. The mood is really well captured here and make us feel like being there.
I like the depth of this pic and the fact that...you feel you are there. gives you a real feel of the place. I like it.
