Photographer’s Note
Downtown Perth has a nice central square, which is where this Post Office Building sits. This shot was taken about 11 pm, after we'd returned from Cottesloe Beach via train. The lights behind the Christmas wreaths in the arches changed colors, fading from green to magenta alternatively.
I'd put the camera down on the edge of a wall to steady it during the extended exposure (no tripod), however, I couldn't quite keep it still enough. Although far from what I was hoping for, this was the best version of about four shots I attempted.

Hi Linda, I appreciate your efforts of capture this later evening image with nice celebrative mood. I enjoy the different colors of the lights and the well exposure settings. However, it is still not a sharp image. You may try to use a tripod some other days.
Happy holidays.

I actually saw this image on the way home from the pub tonight and thought that it would make a good photograph for somebody, low and behold, i come home onto TE and somebodys already done it!
Would have been a bit nicer perhaps if it was sharper, or even a bit front on, but still good to see.

I love it. Very tricky getting the camera steady but you did well under the circ. You have inspired me to attempt it also.
