[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the first photo of a series that I plan on posting. Last semester, I took an introductory photo class (B&W). This was our first assignment, titled 'Creative Visualization'.

We weren't supposed to try anything special; just take a picture, develop the film, make a contact sheet and then make a print from one of the negatives.

I used a zoom lens at about 160mm to get a nice minimum DOF.

I like the shot, but I wish it were sharper. I also wish I would have burned the leaf in the upper right but I hadn't learned that technique yet. When I scanned these prints, I tried to retain the image that I turned in for the assignment and only make some subtle improvements.

The plant is a Plumeria the flowers are white with yellow centers.

I like this photo Fred. Very strong contrast and beautiful "propeller" looking flowers. Effective use of DOF. Nice range in tones within the flowers too.

Fred this is a great photo. Its a great B&W photo. i look foward to more in this series
