Photographer’s Note

The continuation of this series on the Lake Vouglans, this one was carried out during a morning exit with Stéphane with the beach of Bellecin (old name of one of the 3 absorbed villages).

The dam Vouglans, flanked on the river of Ain, is one highest of Europe (more than 100 meters).
It generated a water reserve of 35 km (1500 hectares) which curves between high and abrupt rocks. Reserve
begins with Bridge-of-Poitte after the jump from Saisse, it has an average width of 500 meters.
Three zones were established on this
reserve:
- a zone reserved for fishing;
- a zone with the bathe
- a zone with the sports and leisures nautical.

Several camp-sites were to create on the banks of reserve as well as beaches for the bathe.

------------

The goal of our exit was to benefit from the fall of the level of the lake (20m approximately) to show impossible things differently, like this old forest road.

I thus hope that you will like this series, the topic was created on the Lake Vouglans (it gathers my photographs and those of Stephan for the moment).

Good day

Philippe
