Photographer’s Note
This pic was taken before noon. The place is jemathang (4700m), which is an hour's climb from samiti lake. We are standing right beneath Mt Pandim and looking at this huge face of kanchenjunga. At the bottom of the pic, one can see the very dry landscape of the place, very martian. It was a very beautiful and a strange sight. It was as if, one's line of sight was intersected by a huge wall.
Goecha La is an another 90 minute walk from this place.
