The name Pirogue are given to these wooden boats which are as in many parts of the world a flklore of the country. They are all the same and are built from the wood of a tree called The Jack Tree .I have had the chance to see those trees in Singapore so I deduct that they are well known in this part of the world. This tree has a special "seve " whish is like glue. This is why it is preferred to other trees. These wooden boats can if well treated be used over 20 years.

I like this one. The boats lead the eyes into the picture and the overhanging branches frame the shot nicely. They work because they don't obstruct any of the main elements of the composition. The image is sharp, but still has a nice "softness" to it. Perhaps the image is cropped a little to tightly on the left side - but it doesn't detract from the attractiveness of this shot. Informative notes as well. Well done!

nice composition, gentle colors. I agree that cropping is a bit too tight, though.

Nice shot that on the face of it seems simple but infact there are many compositional elements that underlay the simplicity.
The angle of the boats in the water are about 90 deg to the prow of the main boat and give a strong sense of depth.
The bow of the main boat(the top bit)splits from the prow and the right hand one leads the eye up and into the shot.
It's a pity that a slight lack of DoF results in the prow being out of focus but it dosn't detract to much.

Superbe carte postale.

I like that the branches of the tree make a natural frame for the whole picture. the boat is positioned that it leads towards the perspective and the rest of the scene.

I agree to vagabond, this landscape is so llovely... and the note is very interesting to understand this boats as part of the local culture.

Another great angle work you have performed. The perspective is good and the color composed is excellent. Bravo.
