The Grand Canyon has been photographed over 100 billion times (roughly) . Because of the difficult lightening, the haze, and the shifting color with time of day, the Canyon defeats 99% of attempts to photograph it well.
Your work succeeds!. I like the 3 part composition of near, mid, and distant formations. All portions of the photo seem sharp and in focus- an impossible challenge in a subject so vast. The slanting sunlight brings out the relief and colors well. The color balance is great.
Thank you for posting this work!

An original and interesting composition! The sun on some of the rocks, with shadows on the others is very beautiful, and it has the effect of really showing the depth of the scene much better. I like the colour combination too, with the blue and orange contasting nicely. Great shot!

Good capture of this scene. It is like being able to look back through time with the stratigraphy on display. More like this shot please.

I've recently been posting some shots of the Grand Canyon, Paul, which caused me to come across yours, which I really like! The pattern of alternating warm and cool colors is beautiful and gives the image a lot of depth. Great composition! My only suggestion would be that the blues are somewhat over-saturated, which gives a slightly unnatural look. Great stuff though! Regards, Ken.
