Photographer’s Note

About 60 miles west of the North Rim at Grand Canyon lies a place called Tuweep. You can reach it by airplane (there´s a little dirtstrip) or by 4 wheeler (60 mile rough dirtroad) There is a rangerstation and the ranger picked us up at our little C172 and drove us direct to the edge of the Grand Canyon. The weather was bad. The sky totaly overcast. Than suddenly some of the clouds disappeared and I could make this shot just befor sunset

Very nice first posting, Georg. It has got nice colors and light, and a good depth - I like how the different layers of rock become blurrier when looking into the background. The tree in the foreground serves well as an initial attention-grabber. Maybe some of the area left of the tree could be cropped, to have the tree a bit further off-center, but your framing works really well as is.

Excellent composition. I would have made a slight crop on the lowest and darkest zone of the photo. Anyway, I emphasize its good definition and colours ..

Très beau panorama aux couleurs chaudes sur le bas.
Les détails sont bien et le cadrage intéressant. Le sujet semble nous faire visité sont environnement avec sa branche qui pointe vers le dernier plan

Welcome on TE Georg and what an entrance. It is a beautiful picture and great colours too. I look forward to see more of your pictures. I am not sure but I think that I would have cropped half the space in the left side between the tree and the edge. Anyway it is a great picture.

Ah. This is it! I finally got here! This one is quite dark, but I like these dark and brooding shots. This one is much more balanced. Have you tried cropping a little off the left? Nice work!
