Photographer’s Note

I took this picture in last october during my trip in Iceland, at Gullfoss, near Geysir.
The surroundings of the waterfall were all covered of ice, even the grass leaves, the ice made them very thick, transforming the leaves in big ice branches...
you can see a little bit of the giant waterfall behind this iced grass carpet.

Bonjour Julien,
très impressionnant, surtout ne pas s'avancer plus près, la chute serait fatale.
Une manière originale de nous représenter ces célèbres chutes grondantes.
Le b/w semble renforcer l'effet de froid.

Hi Julien.
What an extraordinary sight. The ferocity of the waterfall next to the petrified stillness of the frozen grass. I like the light you captured as it gives the grass more depth.
