Photographer’s Note
you can buy hand painted replicas of any famous painting for a bargain in ho chi min city. these artists work for a few dollars a day in often dark damp rooms (just look at my exif info) copying from postcards or tiny (2"x2") pictures from art catalogues.

Mark. stellar photo, the 3's are just great... if only the man on the right was more under the painting on the right... but that is petty... this is great, I love the brightness of the center painting and the rest of the photo a bit dak, but with good tones. very well done.

Great compo MArk, I love the POV that make us feel like an spectator while they are painting, You achieve to put us into the action. Maybe a little dark in the bottom part but not a serious problem

Hi Mark.
Fantastic colours and moment. I like it very much, the composition is good as the POV, but more interesting is, even, the men who are working there.
Well seen and well captured.
Regards.

Hello Mark,
Its very itneresting the way thsi artists seem to be overwhelmed by their own creations,
I really like the greenish ambiance here,

Good catch! Well composed with the 3 faces looking from above and the 3 artists busy below.

Beautiful "framing" with endless layers of frames, paintings, easels, you name it. The funny thing about this, having lived in Asia for ever, Mark is how from a Western point of view we might be tempted to say that such a wholesale scene divalues art but...I dunno, these guys seem to be doing might fine work, and pretty modern, graphically sophisticated stuff. All copies of course, but then again, after all those years here: WHAT is originality? What is art?
Really well seen.
Bravo!

This one is one of my favorites from your gallery mark...I especially love the dominance of the 3 identical but differently colored Buddha faces at the top looking down on the 3 artists. Wonderful color and superb graphism.

Mark,
I really like your 3's picture. I do wish the edge of the paintings were in frame though, with just a slight wall for context, just to complete the formal and graphic composition.

Hi Mark,
I saw this on the news some weeks ago...fascinating and perfectly legal too! They are made to order as well aren't they, from all over the world? What a strange but very real phenomenon, to mass produce art in this way...such an educational and informative piece of work. You have nicely portrayed the sad working conditions of the people who make them. On the report I saw, there was a lady working on three identical Van Gogh's all at the same time...brings a whole new meaning to the word "art".
So, is this place a tourist attraction as well? I would love to go there; looks like a great place to take pictures....

Great shot Mark.
Colors and composition are excellent. I especially like the three large faces on top and the three painters to match. That really creates a good balanced photo. Really sharp with a nice simple frame to accent the photo.
Great work
