La Petit France 2 Photo

Photographer’s Note

Here another shot of the wonderful old part of Strasbourg named “La Petit France”.
This is the opposite side of the channel that I taken in my picture La Petite France.

I was in Strasbourg 10 days ago and they were preparing the small huts for the “Christmas Market”. You can see them on the left of my picture.

The Christmas Market takes place from november 27th until december 31st.
This is one of the largest and oldest (431 years) Christmas markets in France.
The Christmas Market itself spreads out into many streets and squares of the city centre, in particuliar Place Broglie and the Cathedral Square.
La Petite France is a cozy neighborhood of timbered fairy-tale buildings with Christmas shops and a gingerbread bakery.

I postponed also another picture of Strasbourg of the Ancienne Douane.

Bonjour Serena,
une vue alsacienne typique, j'avais reconnu la ville sur le vignette.
C'est bien d'avoir choisi cette courbe, toujours très esthétique.
Une image agréable à regarder, même si le ciel n'est pas des plus réussi.

Very good composition and a nice use of reflections. The curvature of the canal adds to the depth of the picture and the colour is pleasing. Well done.

Hello Serena,

What a beautifull place that you make us discover with this image. I would spend a lot of time there with my camera if I had the chance. Very well chosen point of view with those great reflections that give much more to the composition.

Très belle image de ce petit coin de Strasbourg que j'ai eu l'occasion d'apprécier il y a peu de temps. le ciel est un peu pâle mais j'aime beaucoup les reflets des maisons
