Hi Nicole,
The overkill in sharpning works very well here. It is hardly a photo anymore and becomes a painting (an impressionistic one). Very beautiful.

i went there too..its delightful and almost a mini venice in its little main canal...
the shops and cafes give their flavour to this island..
i like the liquid reflections almost as if they were filtered to get that effect
there is no question about the colour balance and sky area and the whole shot hangs together well...miss italy

This is a lovely photograph. I have a hunch that darkening the part above water might make it even more dramatic.

Salut Nicole,
Belle image. Burano se prête bien à ce type de composition avec ses belles maisons de différentes couleurs. Dommage que tu aies un peu trop boosté la netteté et le contraste. Les arêtes des maisons sont déjà un peu trop prononcées.
Beau shot quand même Nicole !

Lovely shot Nicole! great colours in the water, Well composed. Maybe buildings a little over exposed? Then I guess reflections in water would be too dark if exposure was darker? Still, great shot - well done!

Bonjour Nicole,
Une parfaite illustration pour qu'un peintre en fasse une toile, tu as dû surexposer un peu les façades pour obtenir des reflets suffisement clairs, ce n'est pas facile comme challenge.
Un tout bon cadrage symétrique qui conserve le reflet en entier, et ce bon choix du format vertical.

hello nicole, love the reflection...the deformation of the buildings in the water gives a wonderful cartoon look. doesn't it? Actually I like so much the reflection that I think this composition should be upside down. lol. TFS, Gabriel

The composition and the colors are quite good. The reflection in the water is clean and the buildings show up well in it. The only negative critique is that I find there is too much brightness on the buildings and coming from the buildings.
