Photographer’s Note
Mt. Rushmore. Some people would say the sky looks artificial or fake, but I think the solid blue looks pretty nice. I also have taken pictures of the Statue of Liberty with the sky the same perfect blue, and no filters were used on either.
You would've never have guessed, but the day before I was driving just north of here going to Wyoming and I past through a blizzard!

Interesting POV, Ryan. Normally we only get to see the actual carvings and not what surrounds it. would crop some of the sky from the top and either crop or clone out the tree branches on the right.

Hi Ryan,
Yes, a very interesting POV, indeed, but I like it a lot. Very good contrast and saturation.
One question, however! Where is everyone?? When I went in 2002, we had trouble walking through the crowd.
Tnaks for sharing.

You've done a good job with this one, the sky causes the main subject of the photograph to stand out. It does look like a Polarizer was used, however upon closer inspection, it's an illusion. The sky looks dark probably because the camera has exposed for the light foreground.
In any case, it adds to the drama. Well caught!
