[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These little girls had their hands painted with henna by an Indian woman at the Divali festival in Auckland. They saw my camera and approached me for a photo.
NZ has a strong Indian community, particulary in Auckland. We stumbled by accident across this festival in the main town square, and enjoyed the singing, dancing and the oh so yummy curries! I love this multicultural city!

Karen,
Thanks for your compliments about my Cincinnati Skyline photo. I was browsing at your images and spotted this one. I am very surprised that no one has rated this one yet (peoples ratings on this forum are unpredictable anyway). I like this photo. The content is self-explanatory. It doesn't need an explanation (one characteristic of a successful photo). The kids are endearing. One suggestion though. A little fill flash (just enough without creating shadows from the girls hands) would have created more "spark" to this image in my opinion. Good shot! Stan
