The Eden Project is the world's largest self supported transparent envelope , the Geodesic domes are interlinked with arches. The largest of the domes is 100 m. across and 50 m. high internally. Lightweight ETFE foil pillows form the cladding system between the dome members with panels up to 11 m. diameter providing maximum light and UV transmission
Started out as one mans dream to transform a 60m deep, 34 acre, disused china clay pit to house plant conservatories (biomes). The larger biome,, simulates a tropical environment. A warm, temperate climate is created within the second biome. A visitor's first glimpse of the biomes and surrounding grounds is from a viewing platform at the visitors centre this is where this shot was taken on a very overcast and dull day (workshops most welcome)
"It's all about man's relationship with and dependence upon plants. Much of our food, our clothes, our shelter and our medicines all come from the plant world. Without plants there would be no oxygen for us to breathe no life on earth"

To tell the truth the colors and atmosphere in this photo are very nice, so I don't believe you really need a WS on this motive. The grey weather put the right contrast in the colors without creating undesired glows, and so a clear image.
Your point of view is also very good! Nice photo with interesting notes.

As I write this, there is a television programme in the background about the Eden Project claiming that it is "an icon for the future". I second both your recommendation that it is certainly worth a visit and your observation that it is in line with true TE goals. Your picture captures well a visitor's memorable first sight of the domes. Like Jose, I think that you have used the 'dull' weather to your advantage.

Your photo is pretty awesome I like the cloud refelection on the domes specially on the left dome; there's even a reflection that looks like a face. As always your notes are so full of information.

The group of biomes look like something from another planet. The colours are very nice and the image is clear and well focused. Your notes are very interesting also. Nice composition and subject.
