Photographer’s Note

Winter is great for photography because the trees loose their leaves, leaving a skeleton that is at once beautiful and scary. It also allows for more things to show through the branches; I never had this when growing up in the Caribbean. It's eternal summer there. Here's a row of brownstones in North Flatbush, near the Brooklyn Museum and Grand Army Plaza. It just called for black and white...
