Photographer’s Note
Sadly this "little bird of love" as the stone says was not given a chance to live her life to the fullest. Had this little bird lived, she would have been over 75 today. Cold North Dakota winters have taken their toll on these old stones. This shot was taken in Infrared, slightly colorized and added noise in pp. The actual exposure time was 16.88 seconds.

Kirk,
This is a great shot! It is sad, but we cannot be to sad, because there is a nice beauty to it also. I really like how you have offset the angle to right side and brought her to the foreground.
Good pp work also! I like the infrared/b&w. It reminds me a bit of the country music song, "Concrete Angel"
A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot
Well, anyway, thanks for sharing, it is a great shot!
Katie
