Photographer’s Note

Today is the Vietnamese Teacher's Day. I post this shot to thank all my teachers and colleagues as well as my students. This is the Vietnam’s first university with Khue Van Cac (Pleiade Pavillion) and Thien Quanh Tinh (Heavenly Light Well). Detail of Van Mieu

Văn Miếu- Quốc Tử Giám Việt Nam
Lần đầu tiên tôi viếng thăm Hà Nội là năm 1987 đã để lại cho tôi nhiều ấn tượng về đất nước con người của thủ đô Thăng Long, sau đó cũng có nhiều lần trở lại Hà Nội nhưng chưa lần nào viếng thăm Văn Miếu, có lẽ hồi đó còn đơn sơ chưa được trùng tu và dù đi ngang bao nhiêu lần để nhìn vào thấy Khuê Văn Các cũng đủ thấm đậm ý nghĩa biểu tượng của văn hóa Đông Đô Hà Nội rồi. Đến năm 2002, tôi có dịp thăm Văn Miếu của Trung Quốc với đầy ý nghĩa ấn tượng về một nền văn hóa qua hàng ngàn năm được in dấu trên từng nét chữ sâu sắc trong mỗi cổng thành của lâu dài lịch sử nầy! Đối với tôi, hơn nửa cuộc đời thôi thúc cho sự nghiệp học vấn là đã có một thời niên thiếu được mài dũa trong một mái trường mà xưa kia cũng là Quốc Tử Giám có Di Luân Đường thờ Đức Khổng Tử, người sáng lập ra nền nho giáo phương Đông mà đã ăn sâu vào mạch sống dân tộc Việt để mãi như chiêm nghiệm thôi thúc nhắc nhở sự nghiệp làm người…

Nice capture to celebrate the teachers day,I like the calm and peaceful mood here.Overall it looks a bit soft so I tried a WS and hope that you like it.

Hi Huy,
A nice picture dedicate to the Vietnam Teacher's day. It's not your default but the sky is a little white and so it was not so good when you captured. Fine enquadrement, soft tones and nice water reflections.

Reminds me my visit there... A wonderful place, peaceful even if it's in city center !

This beautiful gate and "bassin" are a very good place and a nice idea from Vietnam.
I have been t the link and this is realy very interesting in architecture.

Hi Huy - interesting architecture, I like the symmetry, the different shades of green on the trees is a bit strange though.

Good symmetry on this one Huy and reflections. Maybe cropping at the top would enhance the symmetry even more, as well as taking away the white sky. However, a well composed shot

Wow Huy good shot and what an old place. It looks like you were shooting into the sun somewhat and I think you kept it under control. My only suggestion would be to check the rotation as it looks a hair crooked. Well done Huy.

Nice and centered composition. The light in the photo is also good, but I think that you could add a bite of sharpness: the temple perhaps would need it.

tam hinh nay cach vi de F nho cho nen bi hieu ung vanh tim. anh Huy nen tranh dung F/8 hoac nho hon voi may canon. rang dau tu them cai PL nua de cho bau troi khoi bi chay.
