[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Oriente Fountain at the Park of the Waters in Sao Lourenco. Sparkling water used in to kidney and digestive disturbances and in certain types of intoxications. Here we can see a father bringing his son to drink from the fountain. My objetcive was to take the Lion as a portrait capturing as a backgroung the nice moment between father and son. I guess I adjusted the camera on a automatic portrait mode. What could I have done to have a better result?

dear flavia,
the theme of your photo is really interesting, but to shoot clear subjects in different distances you shoud use f/22(or f/16) and stand in a longer distance from the lion, so the distance between the lion and the man, according the position of the camera, becomes smaller. anyway, you can arrange the picture using the zoom function. in addition, probably it would help the manual focus; if the camera foccuses somewhere in the middle, it can "see" clear all, front and back. i know that this is a picture of the momment, and you can't demand the people to stay all the time you wish; but it is an opportunity to start making some experiments, at your place, whith items in different distances, to find out how the camera works, and when you understand completely the way the camera "thinks", you can make it follow your thoughts!
just try the manual functions, many times, to understand how they work.

Bonjour Flavia
Tu aurais peut-être du faire la mise au point non sur la tête de lion mais sur le père et fils cela aurait modifié l'aspect de la photo et te décaler légèrement sur la droite

Talvez o foco esteja no sítio errado, mas quem sou eu para dar lições que quer que seja? O que eu gostaria de dizer é que gosto da foto tal como ela está. A fonte é lindíssima e merece a atenção de quem foca e de quem a vê. A perspectiva está óptima, o enquadramento é perfeito, as cores suaves e bem balanceadas. E depois... as regras foram feitas para se quebrarem. Bom trabalho!

gosot imenso desta agua tao transparente e dos pequenos detalhes do leao. O pai e filho ao fundo desfocados estao otimos, pois podesse ver bem a relacao entre os dois, mas ao mesmo tempo sao anonimos.
