[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Halong bay is easily the most scenic spot in Vietnam. The bay are full of limestones island. When I was there the weather is very cloudy so I dont feel my photo do justice to them.
This one probably the best out of all photos I took at the bay, the sun peek through the clouds for a short time. Not the best light by any means but I'll take what I can get.

One day... I'll be there. But waiting for that, I am looking at the pics.
Nice shot. may be it could be more contrasty, but then I like it that way.

another beautiful shot from you. I like the composition and just a thought: how about using a black frame for this? (Or maybe you've tried already. Only if the sky is more blue...)

I do not agree with you regarding the light, on the contrary I find it excellent to get this particular mood of silence, calm and serenity. I like it as it is, Ricardo !

When I first viewed this composition I was immediately struck by the serenity that it conveyed. The colors are fine, considering the humid climate and the time the photo was taken, which looks like early morning. Those rock formations in the water are fascinating.

Magnifique photo, tout est bien réussi, le fini, le cadrage ainsi que le sujet, l'eau est superbe. Bravo.
Magnificent photo, everything is made a success well, the finity, the centring as well as the subject, the water is magnificent. Bravo.

Beautiful photo! It's a bit misty, but then Halong Bay IS a bit misty isn't it? I like the composition, and that late afternoon sunlight is really beautiful. Thank you.

Nice gentle colors and beautiful tonal perspective from left to right.
Three-dimensional photo.
Excellent. And makes me want to go there.

In fact this is not the best light for shooting, but you got an excelent result anyway. Incredible rocks, nice boats. Seems hard to sail at this place. I have the feeling that there are so many rocks there, submerged. Great shot. Must be a great place!

Very beautiful Ricardo! Not just the motive but also how you recorded it. The row of cliff leads the eye through the piture and the colors on the boats are fantastic. The little haze is just enough to add some depth. Very very well done!

Very nice pic. A great combination of sharpness and softness. I like the graduated light haze from left to right.

Sorry, I can't resist: you need a stamp so you cand send this to me :-). Beautiful. As Nina said, the combination of sharp and soft is very good. The composition is pleasing. The colors are great.

Ricardo, you take what you could get - and you got something very good. It's special, due to the light, due to how the intensity of the colours get less from left to right, as the distance grows.

Clod has right: one day...

I missed this place when I traveled in Vietnam...and now I regret the fact that I didn't go there myself. It looks amazing, this place, and your image makes it that much more special. Really nice placement of boats throughout the frame (and even the rocks coming out of the water look like boats themselves). Great shot of a magical place.

Very lovely shot on one of those rare bright days on Halong Bay.

Pour avoir vécu ce climat dont vous parlez je comprends ce que vous expliquez. Mais l'effet est tout de même très bien réussi: on sent l'air chargé d'humidité.
Très belle photo bien réussie Ricardo.

Wonderful photo, very good light, relax.

Fantastic composition. The depth is wonderful and there is amazing clarity for such bright sun.

This is one of best photos I've seen of Ha Long Bay. I visited HLB a few years back and it was very foggy then so I could not get such clarity as yours. The scene is so nice and I like how you framed the boats in the compostion.

Hi Ricardo,

Your submission of this beautiful area wets my appetite for my family's visit there later this week....looking forward to it immediately. You capture the areas serenity well.

Congratulations on yet another fantastic image.

Regards,

Vic, Singapore.

Hi Ricardo,Great shot, especially as the conditions were not ideal.
Nice DOF. Well done.
Dave.

I went through here almost a year ago. You have captured the atmosphere fantastically. The small floating homes are very sharp and stand out with great contrast while the peaks in the distance are faded out due to atmospheric perspective.

very good, like a postcard/
