Photographer’s Note
This is post 5/8 from a short trip to the USA in January.
I had approximately an hour to spare early in the morning before I had to go in to the office, so I thought I'd take the opportunity of having a look around during "rush hour". As I didn't have a tripod with me, I had to use the handrail to balance the camera for this shot. The thing I like about this picture is the way the people at the bottom middle are standing still while all around them other commuters are rushing by.

Hi Sarah, I guess the grand central station is a popular place not only for catching the rides, but also for taking photos. I think I saw a few of photos from this place before. I like the long exposure shot you have used in this picture. It is enjoyable to see people in a hurry with the ghost view. Nice sharpness and good use of light. Well done.

Hey Sarah...
I'm jealous. This is one place I've always wanted to visit, and you've somewhat captured the same type of shot I want. A slightly slower exposure capturing the moving and the stationary people. Nice that you included the windows, yet at the same time only getting part of the flag leaves you wanting to see more- tough angle...
Cheers,

There is a special detail in this photo that brought my attention; the red dressed lady who is is the ¿information office? of the middle. Everybody else wears black clothes except this woman.
She's a colur detail in the big, big space.
