Photographer’s Note

"Los Mallos" is the name of these impressive rocks in Riglos. I do not know how high they are but I can tell you they appear very high and are a favorite place for many climbers of rocky walls.

I went there in a short trip to take some photos. It was not a sunny lovely day but I think the fog adds some interest.

After one year at TE I have learned to take more time for photography. I have learned also (as I was younger) to talk more to other people.

I met a young man there in Riglos. He was stonemason. I asked him for permission to enter his yard and take some photos of the surroundings. He answered "of course, I like photos too". Then he indicated me some places to take good pictures and showed me very nice pictures of these rocks in the sunset. I promised to come back to speak with him and take some pictures in the sunset.

He told me also that this was the place where the Mediterranean influence ends. A few kilometres ahead the Atlantic begins. This is the last place, he told, where olive trees can be seen, some of them are thousand-year-old.

I took this picture before speaking with him but I saw later that there were some olive and almond trees in the foreground. Very Mediterranean trees. The weather was not so much.
