Photographer’s Note
This is post 4/8 from a short trip I took to the USA in January.
The Chrysler building has to be my favourite piece of architecture in Manhattan. I like this shot as it is a little abstract due to the modern building in the foreground, while the object of my interest is still quite unmistakable in the background. Something that I hadn't appreciated previously about the Chrysler building was the amount of detail in "statues" on the corners...I am lucky that the Fuji has quite a powerful zoom.
The workshop is a wider angled shot showing the relationship of the two buildings more clearly.

Hi Sarah. A nice detail of the beautiful Chrysler building, instantly recognizable even at this level of zooming-in. A good graphical result to which the foreground building also offeres an essential contribution. I like the light you had in this one, and the way in which it accetuates the brownish tones and puts a shiny glow on the gargoyles. Well captured.

A very well captured detail of the building - I like the addition of the one in front too :)

Hi Sarah,
I agree that it is abstract. The mix of the modern style and the art deco of the Chrysler is interesting. The colors cale out very nicely. This view lets us appreciate the reason why the Chrysler is the most beautiful skyscraper on Earth. All those details are just amazing. I love the gargoyles.

This is really a nice abtrasct of a classic NYC building. Your framing really zeroes in on the art deco birds that decorate it -- one cannot properly admire them from street level but they can in your photo. The colors look good and the picture clarity is excellent.
