Both participants are gazing so intensely, the artist to make a fine job and the visitor in eager anticipation for the result. I think it was a great idea to keep in the modern additions especially since I'm not a fan of cloning such things out if they are that obvious. And here they are an important part of the environment inhabited by these people, modern but looking back with a romantic view of the past. As you say it is a bit harsh on the artist but we get the main focus here fine.

I have been meaning to go to Michigan's Renaissance Fair for many years, now, but have never made it. Although I call ours a "Late Medieval English Fair" rather than a Renaissance one since it seems to focus more on that. Although this year they did have an Italian theme. Perhaps next year I'll make it. It would be a fun place, I think, for an anachronistic person such as myself.

Hi Cristina, A good capture of the details of the henna tattoo action. It is a popular street art in Los Angeles as well. I think most of their customers are ladies, for fashionable, not permanent tattoos.
Nice to show the concentrations of the artist and the enjoyment of the customer. Good capture of the shadowed area in contrasting with the area under the sunlight. A nice daily life shot.

Acabei de descobrir a sua excelente galeria!
O enquadramento desta cena está muito bem conseguido, assim como as cores e a luz (a luminosidade forte de que falas não me incomoda e penso que foi uma boa opção não a corrigires). Acho muita piada ao padrão da manta, que parece ter muito a haver com este tema e ambiente das tatuagens. Excelente texto de apoio.

What a lovely, tender, sun-drenched scene you offer us here, Cristina. Well..light and shadow I shouyld say. It is so well balanced, there is so much of that whole Northern California (we haven't entirely forgotten the best of the '60s) thing about it, that it makes one smile, and feel grateful to you for posting this ray of sunshine into our lives.
