Photographer’s Note
This is one of those shots that demanded a ten minutes patience. I was walking by the Belen's church wall on my left side when I saw that it casted an enormous shadow on the neighbouring church`s. The similarity between the shadows of the bells tower to the bell tower of the neighbouring church also attracted my attention and I started composing the picture.
However, this specific street was quite busy at that time of day (early morning) and lots of people and cars passed by all the time so I had to wait till there were no cars BUT at least one person that will serve as a proportion to the size of the shadow and the wall. Finally, I managed to freeze one moment of relative desolation...
PP: Cropped, Desaturated, USM, Contrast +10
PS - I add a WS of the color version. I pondered quite a bit about which is better suited, and I decided to go for the graphic version and leave the warm colors of early morning to other instances. What do you think?

Hi Chen,
Good title! This is surely a story of shadows. Multiple ones. I like the small shadow of the person and the big one of the church. I like the symbolic of it! You have patience, and I think it brought you a very good picture here. Definitively, I prefer the white & black one. Except for one thing, some parts of it are a bit too overexposed to my taste, and it is less obvious in the color one. But I don't want to be picky. This is a good shot, and I like it!

Nice Shot, though I have to agree with Claire. Adjusting the levels would push the shot to the next level. The composition is beautiful.
With the B&W image as is, try going into shadow/highlight in the adjust pull down. Drop shadow to 0 and hightlight to 30 with a highlight tonal range of 65. Then drop both brightness and contrast by 5. I think you might like the results
