Photographer’s Note

In 2001 we went to visit a friend who studied art in Florence. She lived in a shared student flat with a view to a narrow back alley. The picture shows the view from her window.

I like the mood of this shot. Seems pensive and introspective. Great composition with the guy in a light frame surrounded by a darker frame. it really draws you outside where your subject is looking. I like it alot

The large area of really strong darks in the lower part of teh picture was a little distracting so I did a w/s to see what it would look like cropped differently. I also raised some of the midtones to lighten your subject up some. See if you like it.
