Caramba Clemente, no podías haber inaugurado mejor tu D20, creo que es la ostia esa cámara, sólo le falta hablar. Bueno, larga vida a la cámara y mucho más larga a su dueño. La composición aquí es magnífica, quizá le quitaría un poco de aire por arriba y se lo daría por abajo por aquello de incluir algo más del reflejo, por cierto, que ese espejo deformado del templo tiene una foto en si misma. Buena foto, Clemente, ahora a viajar mucho dentro y fuera del terruño para sacarle mucho partido.

Very good entry with your new toy. Perfect exposure, nice details and well chosen pov. A pity the cut of a part of the reflections of bell towers in the river. (I would also have cloned the cranes in background, but is a detail). Buy a strong chain for the 20D :-)

Hola Clemente, If I were not already impressed by your image, I would have been when seeing the number of languages you speak/understand, but that's beside the point. I'm sorry to hear that your camera was stolen as well. The new one has done an excellent job! I very much like this city view, the colours are fabulous, the image is clean. Puisque tu écris que tu comprends le français (hope you understand french), je vais y aller dans cette langue. C'est triste que tu te sois fait voler ton 300D. Mais, très bonne idée de l'avoir remplacé par le 20D qui est une bonne caméra. Pour la photo, elle est très belle. J'aime bien que le ciel soit encore bleu et la belle couleur des tours. Le seul regret que j'aie, c'est que le reflet dans l'eau soit coupé. Peut-être était-ce parce que tu ne voulais pas que ton horizon soit centré? De toutes façons, bravo pour cette photo et ta nouvelle caméra!

Es impresionante que en 15 segundos que dura la exposicion el agua se vea tan nitida. No habia nada de viento, ni corriente en el Ebro? (creo que es ese el rio no?) Seguro que son 15 segundos? Mi padre vive en Zaz y le voy a mandar esta foto. Yo he visitado Zaragoza varias veces y nunca vi la basilica del Pilar tan hermosa. Como bono adicional las gruas de construccion en el fondo te recordaran la burbuja immobiliaria en un futuro no muy lejano...

Well sad story about your 300D, good you chose to consider the positive side in getting a 20D and its technology improvements. This view is brilliant for its composition on a diagonal, clarity thanks to the important presence of water, exposure and lens quality. Shooting time is just right and the cathedral really shines. Two minor points to consider, framing a bit lower would have allowed not to cut the reflected towers and it would be an easy task tio clone the two cranes that spoil a bit this fine skyline.

Buen estreno para la cámara. No hay mucho que añadir, es una foto muy atractiva y muy buena. El reflejo sobre el Ebro le añade un algo especial a la foto y, sobre lo que dice Miguel, tan importante puede ser aquí el cielo como el reflejo. Sea de una forma o de otra, está bien.

En efecto, compruebo que te has aficionado a las fotos nocturnas, como me has dicho en un comentario, y con un gran éxito. Excelente medición de la luz; sólo echo de menos un reflejo total de la basílica, que no quede cortado el campanario. Bueno, puedes volver a intentarlo, teniendo en cuenta que vives en Zaragoza. Vaya foto más buena de tu tierra que has colgado. Me encanta la reflexión en el Ebro (pese a que no esté completa). El color del cielo es preciso y el tiempo de exposición es bueno, aunque una de las torres del Pilar aparace un poco quemada. Lástima que la cúpula no estuviera iluminada. Me gusta el detalle del puente, le da profundidad y perspectiva a la imagen. Muy buena.

I have compared both of your images of this place and I like them both, but this has the edge I think. The reflections are stunning; except for the crop that has already been mentioned.
I think the other one is slightly tilted, which made me opt for this one

Well crafted and quite informative evening photo of El Pilar. Focusing and clarity of the image are superb, and so are the colors. I really like light source in the center of the photo as it helps the eye focus on the main subject. And of course, wonderfull relfections.
