Photographer’s Note
Rail of a small bridge over the river Alster which is a tributary of the river Elbe. The source of the Alster lies 25 km. north of the centre of Hamburg in the Henstedt Moor (Schleswig-Holstein). These photos Part I, Part
II are taken not too far away from the source. It is amazing how big the Alster gets from here especially in the City of Hamburg where it is impounded to the Außenalster (Outer Alster) and Binnenalster (Inner Alster) (which you can see here.)
These pictures were taken following joseelias's advice to take lots of pictures from different angles and then sorting out the good ones instead of just taking few pictures from a single angle.

J'aime ce type de photo, qui à la premiere vu , ne veulent pas dire garnd chose juste un detail.
Des details que l'on oublie mais qui sont tellement indispensable et qui ont une histoire derriere eux !
Je vais m'y metre aussi moi !

Good idea to take a close-up and show the textures. I like the frost on the wood. Nice time of day to photograph to get those soft reddish tones. You might use a sligtly deeper DOF to get the entire wooden structure in focus in contrast to the background.

Nice... I like the frost and the contrasting shadows from the bolts. Good to see some nice DX6490 shots :)
