[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second photo I have for Brickfields area.

8:53AM It is still early here as most of the shops here are still closed. Except for some coffeeshops open as early as 6AM, most of the sundry shops will open from 10AM to 10PM for the whole week. Some shops will close on Sundays. This is the daily life most of us are living here.

For this photo, you can see some festive lightbox posters on each of the lamp post. Deepavali or Divali will be celebrated by our Indian friends next week on 1st Oct 2005, our Muslim friends will celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri on 3rd & 4th Oct 2005.

These are the main celebrations and all Malaysians will enjoy celebarating them. 30 years ago when I was young, during any of this festive season, my Indian and Muslim friends will bring some cake and pastries to our house. In return, we would put some sugar on the plate. I am sure this is still being carried out.

This photo is cropped to focus more on the lamp posts and adjusted color, brightness and contrast.

P.S. If you look carefully, you can see those pigeons hanging out on the rooftop before the orange color building.

I would like to wish those celebrating the above festive seosons to have a memorable one.

Hi Chai
Interesting street activities, although it's still sort of early morning but the street are packed and jamned with cars at every view. Yeah, true to your text, that those were the days, where friends from other races will brings there festival goodies to our doorstep and we do the same. But now, it seem this is all the past, except there's some whom are still praticing the custom.
Seem everybody's is busy with their own lives that they have neglected the true Malaysian Spirit of Multi-Racial Festival.

Hi Chai,
A good angle for a perspective shot of a street scene. The early morning mood is well depicted and especially the approaching festivities with all those signs. The lamps did helped to make the sky more interesting. Well composed shot!! Regards.

Hi Chai, An interesting shot of the daily life street shot in this picture. It looks that it is tough to drive along the street there. To me, it is interesting to see some recognizable shops there. It is interesting to see the old street mix with the modern tall buildings in the background. Thanks for sharing.
