9mm Bullet / Ruger Photo

Photographer’s Note

I had to take many shots to capture a bullet out of 9mm.
9mm bullets has a lot of power and usually has higher fps from lower caliber bullets.
The bullet in the photo is from the Ruger 9mm on the left.
I tried hard to get on efrom Smith Wesson, she is holding woth her right hand but it did not happen.
Technically not the best shot I know but I thought the moment was worth it to share with you all.

I have never seen a bullet coming out of 9 MM. before.
Thanks for posting it. the 1/8000 of a second was adequate to catch the bullet.
A photograph doesn't always have to include a wonderful sunset or a bug close-up to be good. I like these kind of shots too.

Ken,

A really great shot. You've got a wonderful, classic moment of Americana here for one thing: the shooting range, the jeans, the whole ambiance. Not that there aren't shooting ranges elsewhere, or gun enthusiasts, but I find it has a higher profile in American consciousness than elsewhere (feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong here).

Compositionally I think it's quite nice. The arrangement of the figures is good, with her profile, the smiling guy facing the camera, and someone having a relaxing drink in the background. As well, there is a nice diagonal from top left to bottom right, with greenery on the right hand side and all the people on the left.

And whether it's the casing or the bullet itself, it's a wonderful action shot. I'm surprised that we're not seeing more indication of kick in her arms or her stance, but I'm not well enough versed in guns to know how much of a wallop a 9mm packs (or exactly when it would strike... perhaps it's over or yet to come).

And I love her style of shooting... that Chow-Yun Fat double-handed thing that one so rarely sees outside of movies.

That's something you dont see every day. There's nothing hotter than a girl with a couple of handguns! LOL I must compliment her appearance. I wonder if that really is the bullet or the casing. Great shot.
