[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another repost. I use TL for my experiments but here I'm trying to get my photo's up to standard. I added a frame, cropped a bit(was a bad scan) and saturated the colours a little bit.

Dune 7 is a very popular climb in Namibia. It looks quite easy but when you start climbing it, it is adifferent story. You keep on sliding back. It is much higher than it looks. I made to the top but felt as if I'm going to die. You cannot visit Namibia and not climb Dune 7. Photo taken from the top. I like the oasis feeling. Old photo - scanned

What a vivid and evocative name--"Dune 7". As in, "Where did you spend your holiday?" "Dune 7." "Oh, how nice! We were at Lake 4, and Tropical Beach 8c." ;-)

This is a nice shot, showing the contrast between the vast emptiness and the little picnic-area island of civilization. Good composition, too, and vivid color. Regards, Ken.

Beautiful composition with the silhouettes of the trees contrasting against the golden sand and blue sky. Great elevated POV. The noisiness gives a nice painting-like texture to it.

Although the scan looks noisy, this is an impressive composition, Annette, with vibrant colours. I like the lighting and the way in which the young palms are almost silhouetted against the sand. Cheers . . . David
