It is a common sight in big cities in India that people live by the footpath and platforms... I met this family close to Egmor train station footpath.. They were about 4 or 5 family all sisters living at this 'home'... There were really A LOT of kids all born and grown at this footpath....
Will this boy get out of this footpath when grow?? Only time will answer...
p.s. The lady the BG is one of his aunts... I will try to make a series of this family in the near future.
Tech.. Just overexposed the photo to obtain the effect that I liked... just a experiment...

Overexposure as a creative tool...not sure about it, you know? I would have liked to have seen this with normal color and exposed properly. The scene is cool and has a lot of potential going for it. Anyway, good of you to try new things, but for me this just does not work as much as your other shots.

Hi Bala. Nice focus on his eyes, they are very sharp and clear. I like the idea of over-exposing it, but it might be just a bit too much. But I like the portrait of the boy, the texture of his face, his angle in the frame. well done.

It's cool to experiment - obviously you're overxposing for that washed-out look. That's one way to skin that cat.
May I propose another way (in WS - just as another experiment)?
Great look on the boy's face and nice bokeh behind...

Love the photo's POV, and the over-exposed look. But the intensity of color in Francis' workshop utilizes the potential of this photo more fully.
