[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is part of the ceiling in Thean Hou Temple. There are circles going up and decorated with small little statues. As in a Chinese Temple, gold color and dragons to bring good luck, power and stability.

This photo is in its original form and resize for TE. Adjusted contrast and color. It was taken handheld with ISO 400. No flash was used and depend on surrounding light.

Your prime lens served you well in taking this shot. Even at F/1.8, at ISO 400, it was at 1/30s. With any of my zoom lens, I didn't think I would get this much as you did. Well composed and symmetrical too but at an angle. I would say, radially radiant but in a sombre kind of way. I hope you did take another shot from right below the chandelier Chai.

Great, I was searching a multicoloured picture with around 250,000 unique color and I found yours with 290,315 unique colors according to Paintshop pro v 7.0.

It may be an interesting view, when using a fisheye len then the ceiling wouldl be a complete circle. (Jean-Pierre)

Hi Chai
This is such a wonderful angle that gives such wonderful view of the ceiling. The color are glorious. Try to have the whole circle filled into the image, pal.
Well done, Chai.
Eric Lai.

BTW I dropped by your homepage recently and you got quite an impressive collection.

Hi Chai,

Hi Chai,
This part of the ceiling in Thean Hou Temple is wonderful, very difficult for taking, but excellent composition, I have the same camera and also excellent for interior shots. Splendid work here!
Thanks for posting.
John.

This is an amazing ceiling, Chai. You capture the details well. I like how the image is tilted slightly; it adds more interest.

Hi Chai, An excellent capture of the colorful roof. You have done a good job to capture the details. Nice color contrast and an excellent sharpness. Well done.

Hi Chai
I really like the depiction of this ceiling in the temple but I am not that content with your POV ... I would have liked to take a photo from the center just to add some balance to the photo (just my presonal preferences) ... but that ways I would have missed out the details of the small painting at the place from where chandalier is hanging
good one .... tfs ... cheers
sarju

Hi Chai,
Great shot showing this very nice ceiling. I just loved the colours and the pattern formed by this art work. The sharpness is as good as can be. Nicely done.
Best regards,
Ricardo

Hi Chai,
The concentric circles are very pleasing showing a gradual movement of growth and the repetition mimic the chime resonating in the temple. The lantern provided an interesting contrast in this well composed shot. Beautifully seen and captured!! Regards.
