Photographer’s Note
The hill peaking above the fog is Matney Mountain located on the edge of the Leatherwoods in the Ozarks. The white river flows by the mountain and is often the source of dense early morning fog. This particular morning was particularly beautiful, at least to my wife and I so I grabed the camera to capture the moment. This was the best of several pictures. Matney is three miles away as the crow flies in my southern view.
I enjoy mountain biking. The ride to the top of Matney is not my normal ride, but I try to make it at least once a year either when the leaves have fallen off the trees, or before the pawpaws are harvested by the racoons. The fruit of the pawpaw tree is also known as an "Arkansas Banana". It takes me twenty minutes to get to the Sheid Bridge from my home. From the bridge it takes another forty-five minutes to get to the top of the mountain. From the top of the mountain back to the bridge is only ten minutes.

Good evening David -
This image has a lot of potential. I like the POV and love the color of the sky and the valley fog. The foreground is a bit dark and large. Also, the tree at the right is not framing but is kind of intruding on the image, IMO. A slightly better POV would have been one or two steps to the left to iminimize or completely remove the tree. I would like to have posted a workshop to show you how to brighten the foreground but you have not allowed that function.
A good attempt - keep shooting and thanks for sharing

David,
I like this shot, the colors are muted, but that is how the morning often is. I like the addition of the tree limbs with pinecones. Very nice touch! The mountain in the distance swathed in clouds is great. Really nice pov and composition.
Thanks for posting,
Katie
P.S. I appreciate your WS on my picture

Hello David,
I like those morning view, preferred a bit foggy. A calm and relaxind picture (of course not when just arrived by bike). Well done to frame the opposite hill by branches.

I liked the way fog isolated the image of the mountain top and the way you caught this image, with branches around
