[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Some of you may have seen one of my early shots: Statue, which I photographed last year. This is a bit of a follow up. The statue in question was resident in the Botanic Gardens, Near Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, however, due to a dispute over planning permission, it was taken down. Yesterday, I went in search of the remains.... and discovered it lying a few hundred feet from its former clifftop glory, lying beside a skip in a disused part of the gardens. A sad ending indeed!

This wasn't the end!! I live on the Isle of Wight, and this marvellous sculpture was given a new lease of life at the 2004 IOW Festival! I don't know what hapened to it after, but I'm sure it's being looked after.

As for your picture, I am sure that there could have been much more interesting angles on the subject. Perhaps just an abstract detail, or an upsidedown portrait. I don't think this picture really carries the idea of how cool this thing really is!
