[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The photograph has no great artistic merit but amused me at the time. As part of a day trip on Oahu, we were taken to a beach on the north east of the island with the intention of trying body-boarding for the first time. This combination of signs was enough to put me off but about half the group still went in. Only one received jelly fish stings and nobody actually drowned!
Incidentally, the image I saw through the viewfinder actually showed the beach as well :-)

Hi Keith

These signs definitely don't make you feel like going and swim there ! Only the jelly fish would have been a foe for you if you wanted to go bodyboarding, as the shorebreak can definitely be fun, and the current can take you right behind the peak. The waves were definitely too small, you have been right not to go ;o)

Anyway, it's a nice picture with nice colours. Maybe with a closer framing and a few steps to the left would it have looked even better...

hey keith, great choice of subjects, but i think that you could have done more with the framing.

the height would have made your shot difficult, but including more of the water would have been good. either using a vertical frame, or pushing the signs to the right or left would have worked well too.

as per your note, you thought you were getting the beach in frame, so it's a shame you didn't get what you thought you were shooting.

but, this isn't a technical photo ... very funny though! well spotted!

I love the humor here too, I don't think I would have braved the jellyfish myself. The green water with all that blue sky is lovely too. I agree with previous posts, a less centered shot of the signs would have looked more technically good, but as a humor shot, perfect.
