| The cable car that climbs 1000m up to a Benedictine Monastery built into the side of the mountain of Montserrat (50km North-West of Barcelona). Set against (and into) some spectacular rocky mountain scenery, it was established in the year 1025 (!!) and is home to around 80 monks. A mind-blowing trip, and the ride to the top will always be remembered! |
