Photographer’s Note
Taken a few minutes before midnight from Rønvikfjellet, a hill just east of the center of Bodø. Taken in a west/south-west direction, it shows an aurora (northern light) over Bodø. The auroras that can be seen in Bodø do not usually display the same ammount of spectacular colour that can be seen farther north. Allso, light polution from the city does make it a little less spectacular in this picture. That said, I cant remember seeing the combination of a city at night and an aurorae here at TE, so I thought I would submit this picture.
It was taken using a tripod, but the combination of strong wind, the lack of a remote controll for the camera and a shutter time of 10 seconds made this picture a little less sharp then it could have been.
Hope you like it.

Hello. Thanks for sharing the aurora borealis, which is not easy to see. And you are right, we usually see landscape pictures with aurora and not often cities. And the contrast between the green and the city lights is good. Well done, Pascal
